Teenagers & Adults

Workshop
In the “Meet the Maker*” event series, various makers talk about their own projects. Questions, experiences and tried-and-tested tricks are shared in a moderated and casual setting – from using CAD software and programming robotic arms to laser-cut fashion design.
Meet the Maker* with Gerald Dell’mour
On Friday, 29 November 2024, we will be visited by Gerald Dell’mour, who, in this "Meet the Maker"* event, gives us the opportunity to experience 3D object design in a different way. He shows us, with the help of Virtual Reality (VR), how we can design objects in a virtual space without a mouse or keyboard. With a VR headset, ideas can be freely sketched in the air, viewed, and adjusted from all angles. The resulting object can then be printed with a 3D printer and brought into our analog world.
Meet the Maker*: LET’S CODE! Special
On 1 December 2024, everything in the techLAB revolves around programming and creative coding. How can code be used creatively, and how can code be transformed into physical objects? Together, we’ll generate shapes, patterns, and designs with code, which will then be further processed into creative pieces using the diverse tools and technologies of the techLAB—from the laser cutter and cutting plotter to the embroidery machine. Whether engraved in wood, stitched onto fabric, or created as a unique holiday card from the laser cutter: endless possibilities!
