Which technological innovations will shape the future of our lives, our mobility, our industries or our communication? This new exhibition area presents cutting-edge scientific research and state-of-the-art technological developments.
ENDED
The Science Corner of the Technisches Museum Wien (Vienna Museum of Science and Technology) offers a stage for current research projects of the TU Wien. In a yearly changing presentation, visitors can discover various facets of Austria’s dynamic research landscape and learn about forward-looking technologies that are currently being explored.

Caring Robots
The second presentation focused on the transdisciplinary research project Caring Robots, a joint project of the Technisches Museum Wien, the TU Wien, the University of Salzburg and Caritas Wien. The use of robots in nursing care is a much-debated future scenario that raises different expectations. Robots are intended to be used specifically to support both people in need of care in daily life and the care staff, making them essential tools in healthcare.

The Science Corner not only enabled visitors to gain a more in-depth insight into the research project that combines the domains of robotics, social sciences and informatics, but also gave them the opportunity to get to know the researchers from the various institutions. In addition, visitors were invited to participate in a small survey to provide valuable input to the ongoing research project.
