In addition to tools and machines, this collection area also comprises many products of manufacturing, offering a wealth of material not only for the history of production and work, but also for the history of consumption. With about half of the object holdings and a number of historical special collections (Cabinet of Factory Products, commodity science, etc.), it substantially characterises the museum’s profile. At present, the collection area increasingly focuses on the documentation of new materials.
