June 20, 2024
Shortly before the end of the school year, Mission Control made a trip to Styria. The Institute for Space Research (IWF) of the Austrian Academy of Sciences warmly welcomed us in Graz.
The group gained insights into various laboratories and research areas, observed freezing salt drops in a vacuum, marveled at a Chinese spoon compass, and learned about the significant and diverse contributions of the IWF to international space exploration: The institute is currently involved in more than 20 space missions.

After replenishing with pizza and gelato, there was still time for a brief tour of downtown Graz before taking the train back home. During the journey, the highlights of the Mission Control year were reflected upon, and we reminisced about the new "thematic planets" we explored together.

Mission 2023/24 successfully completed!
We'll be back in action starting in the fall!
