The movie The Martian not only raised many questions at Mission Control but also transformed its filming location, Wadi Rum in Jordan, into a well-known tourist destination. David Scheßl, a colleague from the museum, conducted an artistic research project there, exploring how the film had changed life on-site. As a guest at Mission Control, David brought along his self-built rover and provided insights into his project.

The replica of the Mars rover "Opportunity" in the museum also attracted a lot of attention - not only does it look cool, but with patience and technical know-how it could be made functional again. The MC is keeping that in mind!

Additionally, members of Mission Control searched for highlight objects in the space exhibition and assigned them to the four main themes of the Rocket Science project.

For example: How realistic do you think it is that you will live to see the colonisation of Mars? The members positioned themselves between "not at all" and "definitely" and debated their assessments.
